Then we opened the boxes and the children explored all of the special gifts. Then some of my students excitedly volunteered to run the gardening day with me.\r\n\r\nI was so proud watching my students help their school community members choose a pot, choose a seed and a sticker to design their pot. The children and staff were so excited to come by our gardening table. And when they learned that they could plant a seed for free because some generous donor allowed them to be a farmer for a day, they were all so happy. Every student had the opportunity to pick a pot and plant a seed. \r\n\r\nFor the rest of the year, students and staff would stop by my classroom and give me updates about the growth of their plants. Getting our school community excited about learning has been extremely rewarding for me too. I already love planting and growing crops and now I have excited so many more people to love it too. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous donations. Fridays class consist of a pathways class that will pave the way for special needs students who can decide if they would like a career in hospitality or food service.
