Because of your generosity, our elementary students now have colorful Play-Doh and a wide variety of tools and accessories to roll, cut, stamp, mold, shape, and bring their ideas to life.\r\n\r\nThese materials will make learning active, joyful, and accessible. Students will use the Play-Doh and accessories to create letters, words, numbers, shapes, patterns, story characters, habitats, and models that connect to what they are learning in class. As they squeeze, pinch, roll, and manipulate the dough, they will strengthen the fine motor muscles needed for writing, cutting, and other everyday classroom tasks.\r\n\r\nJust as importantly, this project gives students a creative way to communicate and learn together. Children will talk about their creations, explain their thinking, solve problems when designs do not work as planned, and collaborate with classmates to build new ideas. The open-ended materials allow every student to participate at their own level, whether they are practicing foundational skills, exploring a new concept, or expressing themselves through imaginative play.\r\n\r\nYour donation has provided more than Play-Doh—it has provided tools for confidence, creativity, connection, and hands-on learning. The colorful shelves and pool-noodle book spacers have changed choosing and shelving books into fun experiences.\r\n\r\nStudents love the colorful backing and it helps them easily spot different sections and find \"just right\" books, while the pool noodles keep rows neat so students can slide books in and out without everything toppling over. \r\n\r\nWhen students first walk in and see the new shelves, many stop and say, \"It's so colorful in here now!\" They are always excited when I get another shelf \"renovated\"! The space feels special to them, and students who are usually hesitant to choose books have been more willing to browse because the shelves look friendly and less overwhelming.\r\n\r\nI hope to build on this excitement by letting classes create simple shelf labels and student-made recommendation cards that match the new design.
