They didn't expect to see all the colorful masks and decorations of purple, green and gold in the classroom. They had seen videos of parades and listened to descriptions of the history behind this celebration, but they didn't actually believe our school would celebrate it until these supplies arrived. \r\nThanks to the donations, students were able to make posters, decorate masks, and show them off in the school-wide parade. I was mostly pleased with two things: how much the students talked about and shared their new knowledge of a global celebration with French roots, and their creativity once given the opportunity to. It was awesome to see the participation. \r\nMerci a tous!
