I use it to share science presentations, introduce new topics, show educational videos, and help students explore concepts that can sometimes be difficult to understand through textbooks alone. Students have enjoyed learning about science through the presentations I create for them and using digital resources to see examples of animals, plants, weather, space, and other science topics. The technology makes our lessons more interactive and helps students connect what they are learning in class to the world around them.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students most is being able to explore science in a visual and hands-on way. They love seeing pictures, videos, and presentations that bring science concepts to life and allow them to discover things they may not have experienced personally. The laptop has also helped students become more curious and eager to ask questions. Some students who were initially shy or hesitant to participate have become especially engaged during technology-based science lessons. They are excited to share their observations, answer questions, and tell their classmates what they have discovered.\r\n\r\nI have been especially happy to see how the laptop has helped build confidence in students who may need extra encouragement to participate. When they see something interesting on the screen, their curiosity naturally leads them to ask questions and become more involved in the lesson. Your generous donation has given our students an exciting way to explore science, develop technology skills, and become more confident, curious learners. Thank you for helping make these learning experiences possible for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1787805593618,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-young-minds-bringing-interac/10521799/","projectTitle":"Empowering Young Minds: Bringing Interactive Learning to Our Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. JERONE MAE HIGIDA","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10525611_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1788068347267","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10525611"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56753","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":230,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":71,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"14.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":70.0,"schoolId":56753,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jennie Wilson Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jennie Wilson Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/garden-city-unified-school-district-457/jennie-wilson-elementary-school/56753"}
