The addition of wobbly stools and chair bands has brought an exciting new dynamic to our learning environment. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their eyes lit up with excitement and curiosity. We had a discussion about how these tools would help us focus and stay engaged during lessons. Their initial reactions were a mix of joy and eagerness to try something new—they couldn't wait to explore how the stools wobbled or how the bands stretched. \r\n\r\nOne specific moment that stood out was during a collaborative writing activity. Students worked in small groups to plan a narrative story, and the wobbly stools helped those with lots of energy focus while brainstorming creative ideas. One student shared, \"The stool helps me think because I can move a little and still stay with my group!\" \r\n\r\nCurrently, we are working on a unit about winter celebrations, where students are writing about a cultural tradition they celebrate. The wobbly stools and chair bands have been instrumental in keeping students engaged during the brainstorming and drafting process. Next steps include revising and sharing their narratives with their peers, which will be displayed in a our classroom.\r\n\r\nThese resources have transformed our classroom into a more inclusive, flexible learning space.
