Music helps set a positive tone, builds motivation, and encourages teamwork and perseverance. Meeting after a long school day can be tough for elementary students, and having healthy snacks ready helps them refuel and stay energized. Several said, \"We get this every practice?!\" and immediately began talking about their favorites. Many of our younger runners especially benefit from having something to eat before physical activity, and the snacks have helped reduce tummy aches, fatigue, and those end-of-day energy crashes. I've been using the bright colored paper to send home \"happy mail\"—positive notes celebrating students' kindness, progress, and accomplishments. The kids love receiving these cheerful notes, and many proudly tuck them into their folders to show their families. We also used the paper plates and faux snow to create winter snow-globe crafts, giving students a fun, hands-on creative project that builds fine-motor skills and adds a little seasonal magic to our room. The chapstick has been incredibly helpful too, especially as the cold weather settles in and many students struggle with dry, chapped lips.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were instantly excited. They couldn't stop talking about the snow-globe project and kept asking when we could start. A few students who have already received happy mail were beaming and said they felt \"special\" and \"proud.\" The snow will also be used for our Elf on the Shelf fun in December, as our classroom elf, Leo, begins his holiday adventures—something the kids look forward to every year.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include continuing our happy-mail routine so every student receives regular positive communication home, and incorporating the snow-globe craft into a writing activity where students describe their winter scenes using sensory language.
