I cannot express enough how much I appreciate your generosity. It may not seem like much to some, but to my students and I, it means so much. My students were so surprised and excited when they learned how others wanted to show their support for them. They are so grateful, as am I. \r\n\r\nThe mints are a huge hit. We use them to help students focus when taking tests and working on various projects. The Lifesaver mints are a hot commodity at my school. The multiple sticky notes are used in various ways. Most recently, I printed questions on sticky notes and students wrote their answers and put the sticky notes on chart paper when we were learning about resumes and interviews. The folders help keep us organized. Each student has a folder in each of my classes. This is where all of their work goes. It is a great organization method for my students and me. \r\n\r\nI try hard to make the lessons I teach meaningful in some way for my students. We are getting ready to start a new unit that will create a first-ever JCAC school newsletter. My students will be interviewing other students, staff, and teachers, researching current events, creating podcasts, newsreels, etc. This is exciting for many of my students because it isn't just sitting and doing pencil paper work and they get to learn about the writing process while doing so. \r\n\r\nThank you for supporting educators and our students!","fullyFundedDate":1735398341167,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-future-writers-of-america/8934408/","projectTitle":"Supplies for future writers of America","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ogden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9832193_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758222541747","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/misstammyo"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_95955","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":175,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":95955,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jefferson City Academic Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jefferson City Academic Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/jefferson-city-school-district/jefferson-city-academic-center/95955"}
