My students were elated and overjoyed to choose their own color! In August, we were using hand-me-downs from the previous year. Some of the headphones only had one working speaker, and a few of them had very minimal volume. Many of the students were distracted by surrounding noises. \r\n\r\nIn September, our i-Ready class data showed 1/20 students on grade level in reading and 0/20 students on grade level in math. Since we have received the new (working) headphones, scores have sky-rocketed to 10/20 and 11/20 respectively. Without the new headphones, my students would not be able to receive 100% of the online instruction and lessons from their individual computers. With the new headphones, they are able to block out any noise from other computers and simply focus on their own instruction. My students' families are extremely proud of their children - reading in kindergarten already! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.","fullyFundedDate":1765480418463,"projectUrl":"project/quality-headphones-to-boost-beginning-re/9793446/","projectTitle":"Quality Headphones to Boost Beginning Reading Skills!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Imai","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1774317_orig.jpg?crop=1821,1821,x494,y532&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721075886087","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1774317"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32846","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":221,"numTeachers":14,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":43,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":32,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"15.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.1,"schoolId":32846,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Leataata Floyd Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Leataata Floyd Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/sacramento-city-unified-school-district/jedediah-smith-elementary-school/32846"}
