Students are more engaged because they do not have to wait on other students to complete their assignments. This has made a huge difference with out group. Robinson High School who wants and needs them. Teachers feel free to come to us to fill up the boxes of supplies they keep in their rooms, and students feel comfortable approaching teachers to ask for them. We know this has taken a huge stressor off of students, who are often concerned about obtaining necessary hygiene supplies for their periods. Now, their focus at school can be where it is most useful: on class content. Perhaps most importantly, we are slowly erasing the stigma and embarrassment that often accompanies the topic of menstruation. By speaking about it openly, men and women alike are embracing the fact that monthly periods are simply a fact of life for women.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us break down the financial and societal barriers that accompany menstruation. Your contribution is invaluable, and we're lucky to have the support in the Donors Choose community.","fullyFundedDate":1740424281243,"projectUrl":"project/alleviating-pink-tax-pain-one-pad-at-a/9104051/","projectTitle":"Alleviating Pink Tax Pain, One Pad at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Meehan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp273856_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1539101784645","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/michellemeehan"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2371","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1212,"numTeachers":82,"percentFrplEligible":54,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":31,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":24,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":71.0,"schoolId":2371,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jay M Robinson High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jay M Robinson High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/cabarrus-county-school-district/jay-m-robinson-high-school/2371"}
