When I have clarinet and saxophone reeds on hand or valve oil/slide oil for trumpets and trombones, I can offer them to students when they run out. Students can still make progress in rehearsals when they are actively participating because they have a playable instrument.\r\n\r\nOur winter concert was absolutely amazing! The students are still talking about their performance with pride! \r\n\r\nWe included the following information on our concert program: \r\n\r\n\"Donors Choose is an organization founded in 2000 by a high school teacher in the Bronx. Donors Choose empowers public school teachers from across the country to request much-needed materials for their students. Kansas Gas Service, The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation in New York, NY and private donors in Topeka helped fund supplies necessary for our musicians to be successful in the classroom as well as at tonight's concert.
