We also talk about how authors use figurative language and storytelling to communicate deeper messages.\r\n\r\nReading in my classroom is very interactive. Students read independently, discuss ideas with classmates, and share their thoughts as a class. They often annotate their books, write reflections, and connect what they read to their own lives.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who normally struggle to stay engaged during reading have been especially excited about the new books.
