I have been using all the books and resources I asked for to create a classroom project that I am starting to apply in my English as a Resource class lessons. The resources you facilitated for me and the books received have been of great help because they have opened my perspective and have let me see new methodologies, such as the culturally responsive pedagogy, to adapt in my lesson planning. Since this was a professional development project, my students themselves have been impacted from the moment I began lecturing them with the methodologies I have been acquiring by reading and implementing these books in my lesson planning.\r\n\r\nThe next step in my classroom practice as an English as a Second Language teacher is to be able to take this project and show it to the world. To do this, I already sent a proposal to a Conference that will take place in April this year. I will be presenting in Washington D.C., the first insights and the impact of including pedagogies closer to the learners' background and the addition of more visual and auditory materials, no matter what you are teaching or what English proficiency level your students have.","fullyFundedDate":1762207341937,"projectUrl":"project/professional-development/9845586/","projectTitle":"Professional Development","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lucia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10300599"},{"teacherId":7093277,"projectId":9391357,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support and for asking about the impact of this project. These books are helping students build critical thinking, evidence-based writing, and civic awareness.
