These cubbies have made such a positive difference in our classroom and have helped our kindergarten students become more organized and independent each day.\r\n\r\nWe use the cubbies to give each student their own designated space for books, folders, supplies, and other classroom materials. Having everything easily accessible at their desks has helped our daily routines run much more smoothly. Instead of searching for materials or having supplies scattered around the room, students know exactly where their belongings go and can quickly get what they need for each lesson.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they saw their new cubbies! They immediately loved having a space that belonged to them, and it has been wonderful to watch them take ownership of keeping their materials organized. For kindergarten students who are still learning classroom routines and responsibility, something as simple as having a designated storage space has made a big impact.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, we will keep building independence and responsibility while using these cubbies throughout every part of our day. From reading and writing to math and hands-on activities, our students are learning how to gather their own materials, complete their work, and put everything back where it belongs.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom and helping create an organized, functional learning environment for my students. Your generosity has provided something we will use every single school day, and we are so grateful for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1779293542969,"projectUrl":"project/giving-every-student-a-space-of-their-ow/10297644/","projectTitle":"Giving Every Student a Space of Their Own","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Walker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6534979"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13853","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":539,"numTeachers":40,"percentFrplEligible":92,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":77,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":8,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":62.5,"schoolId":13853,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about James A Mulkey Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"James A Mulkey Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/alabama/geneva-city-school-district/james-a-mulkey-elementary-school/13853"}
