I am so grateful for that addition to my classroom and having a space big enough for the class while still each having their own square/area. \r\nSome next steps for us using the carpet are trying more stations and movement instead of just being in their desk all day, giving opportunities to choose a workspace that works for them. This has opened more doors and opportunities for us to try new activities that help grow us as a group as well as a space for us all to be able to see everyone with more intentionality. Students that have typically been shy or cautious about trying something new were showing other people how to play these games and were acting as teachers themselves. It was so inspiring to see how access to these games and resources really inspired confidence in some of these kids. Not to mention the boost and skills that they received from playing games that are targeted to reinforce specific learning skills.
