Our class is over the moon with the ability to have math at their fingertips. The excitement in their eyes, when they first saw them, reminded me of Christmas morning with my own children. Each student has had the opportunity to explore, play with and use these tools. \r\n\r\nJust yesterday, as we began a new math concept, they were quick to put their toolkits in action. One of the best parts is that everyone can use different tools to find their own strategy for solving a math problem. Some went straight to the base ten blocks, while others went to the counters, linking cubes, or number lines. We can't wait to find new ways to use these tools with each new concept. I know the class is anxiously awaiting the start our measurement unit to get their hands on the rulers and tape measures.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my vision and for your ongoing commitment to fostering educational excellence. The impact of your generosity will be felt for years to come. I look forward to many more students using these kits to build their foundation and love for math and learning.
