The new rug and shelf are going to make such a huge impact in my classroom. Prior to teaching Kindergarten, I taught PreK for 15 years. This past year, my district moved to full day Kindergarten and I decided it was time to \"graduate\" PreK and begin my journey as a Kindergarten teacher. After successfully completing an entire year, I began thinking about ways to make each year better and better.\r\n\r\nThis year we were definitely lacking storage, specifically for our small group center activities, and more rug/floor space for the students to work at. Because of you, our small group materials will be extremely organized and we now have a beautiful new rug where the students can work collaboratively together on. When my students heard and saw our new rug and shelf, they were beyond excited!! One student even stated \"oh wow! This is so much better than our bin centers!\". We'd been stacking bins on a shelf that had very difficult lids - so this new center shelf is going to make a HUGE difference!!!\r\n\r\nAlthough I'm excited for summer vacation, I'm also now incredibly excited for the next school year to come! These resources quickly became some of the most loved and frequently used materials in our classroom. Our students have used them to create imaginative play scenarios, practice social skills, and develop communication and problem-solving abilities. They eagerly explored every item and immediately began creating stories and role-playing together.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students continue to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences every day. As we move forward, we will be using these dramatic play resources to support themed learning units and encourage even more collaborative play. Students will continue building language, creativity, and social-emotional skills as they explore new roles and real-world experiences through play.
