One of the first thing we created was our class mantra\" Greatness is encoded in my DNA.\" We print this on color paper and laminated then and paste then in the classroom. The students say this everyday as i reminder that they have greatness with them. We have also created laminated words for classroom games such as swat. And we have also being able to create and make a lot of poster and coloring related to our content. They students love to color and are excited whenever they get the chance to do activities involving coloring.\r\n The students were excited to when the first saw their classroom supplies and are protective off them. Students are able to get more out of the classroom time as they do not have to wait for limited classroom supplies to be circulated. Another instance is regarding their bell work, the student can get started immediately on their bell work and they have access to one of the simplest materials-pencils- at their desk. these material have helped to streamline the classroom and make it easier to learning to take place.\r\n As we go into our next lesson, we will be creating basic weather instruments and they students will get the opportunity to go outside and work as scientist to collect weather data. they have been excited to go outside and i am excited to see the result of that.","fullyFundedDate":1749479182441,"projectUrl":"project/science-with-a-new-perspective/9394751/","projectTitle":"Science With a New Perspective","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Sewell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10049561_orig.jpg?crop=1835,1836,x0,y605&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748999903448","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10049561"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_46115","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":917,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":55,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":6,"gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"27.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":52.1,"schoolId":46115,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Westside Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Westside Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/duval-county-public-schools/j-e-b-stuart-middle-school/46115"}
