Students with bright faces once explained the generosity of total strangers impacting their learning, classroom environment, ability to have seating that provided them quiet ways to move without distracting others and avoid sitting on the hard floors if they chose to move closer to the board. We did unboxing fun, students took ownership in organizing the new learning materials, reading books that applied math in fun ways and had some fun races to making equivalent fractions. Students also assisted in airing up our flexible seating that needed air and enjoy finding out who gets to use on a given day.\r\n\r\nStudents performed the best on our fractions unit end of module and mid module assessments of all units this year. I attribute this to the additional hands on opportunities with the fraction magnets, fraction circles and tiles learning activity and ability to provide additional organization with the pencil pouches for each student. \r\n\r\nOur Eagles were provided additional ways to be successful in converting fractions, adding and subtraction fractions, and visually comparing fractions. You were a part of this success. Students enjoy picking up the books to read during independent choice time upon completion of their classwork. The soft lighting also provides a way to keep some of the florescent lighting off in the room to aid in less headaches and in words of students with high sensory needs, less \"buzzing\" is heard. Due to the lights having, what we call, \"dance\" modes - we use those modes as celebrations of taking the risk to answer when students are not confident or the growth in sprint fluency activities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has impacted over 120 students in 4th grade in some form or fashion. The ability to have a supply of disinfectant wipes has also assisted in keeping our desks, chairs and door handles wiped down. I believe this also assisted in keeping germs at bay and less illnesses.\r\n\r\nMay you be richly blessed. I appreciate you. Our Eagles appreciate you. You showed kindness from complete strangers exist.","fullyFundedDate":1763399880299,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-minds-on-math-learning-with-a-m/9743530/","projectTitle":"Hands On Minds On Math Learning with a Magnetic Easel","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pauly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8824388_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758468149295","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8824388"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_134168","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":401,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":33,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":134168,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about International Ldrshp Texas - Richmond on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"International Ldrshp Texas - Richmond","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/international-leadership-of-texas/international-ldrshp-texas-richmond/134168"}
