Your support has had a meaningful impact on my students, who are multilingual learners developing oracy and literacy skills in both English and Spanish.\r\n\r\nThe resources were used to create intentional, student-centered materials that reinforce key language concepts across both languages. Using these resources, I designed hands-on activities that support vocabulary development, sentence formation, and storytelling. For example, students used clipart images to create sequence stories, allowing them to practice retelling events, using transition words, and organizing their thoughts orally before transferring ideas to print. These activities supported expressive language while strengthening comprehension and narrative skills.\r\n\r\nThe visuals provided by the clipart were especially powerful for multilingual learners. Images helped bridge understanding between English and Spanish, making abstract language concepts more concrete and accessible. Students were able to identify and label vocabulary, describe actions and settings, and engage in meaningful conversations with peers. This visual support increased student confidence and participation, particularly for students who are still developing proficiency in one or both languages.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the materials allowed me to differentiate instruction and create reusable resources aligned to our curriculum. The activities encouraged collaborative learning, turn-taking, and academic talk—essential oracy skills for young learners. Students practiced listening, speaking, and responding in complete sentences, building a strong foundation for bilingual literacy.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students now have engaging, culturally responsive resources that support language growth in both English and Spanish. Thank you for investing in my classroom and in the voices of multilingual learners. Your donation truly helped bring language to life for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1758546577187,"projectUrl":"project/building-confident-learners/9580757/","projectTitle":"Building Confident Learners!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cruz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp6007346_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1540509299104","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/marte-cruz"},{"teacherId":9578820,"projectId":8474200,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating necessary items for my students to have the ultimate classroom experience.
