Using the build kits, students planned, constructed, and launched the first library box, which was completed in January and is actively being used by the school community. A second library is nearly finished and currently in the final stages of painting. Throughout the project, students also wrote outreach letters, organized a school-wide book drive, and developed plans for maintaining the library long-term.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, students were excited to start building. During build days (which also coincided with Halloween spirit week and fun costumes), students collaborated to solve problems, manage materials, and stay on task in a way that reflected real-world teamwork.\r\n\r\nThis project provided a meaningful opportunity for students to apply their reading, writing, and collaboration skills in a practical setting.
