Students were excited to wear something they designed themselves, and it sparked meaningful conversations about self-expression, effort, and how our classroom works together as a team.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the finished materials, the room absolutely lit up. There were smiles, cheers, and plenty of \"Can I wear mine today?\" moments. One student even said it made them feel like our class was \"official.\" We've already used the shirts during collaborative projects, special learning days, and class celebrations, and students consistently take extra care of them because they feel personal and earned. The shirts have become a positive motivator and a reminder that hard work leads to something tangible and meaningful.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students will continue using the shirts as part of our ongoing classroom projects, including group-based lessons where collaboration and responsibility are key. They will also be worn during upcoming school events and learning milestones to reinforce our sense of belonging and accomplishment. Thanks to our donors, students now have a lasting resource that strengthens classroom culture and boosts engagement every time it's worn. I wanted the students to feel a rush of joy and anticipation when they laid eyes on our latest additions. \r\n\r\nTheir faces lit up with delight, eagerly examining each new treasure. Earning and saving up their Eagle Bucks has never been more fulfilling as students eagerly anticipate Friday, when they can finally browse through the store and snag their favorite items.\r\n\r\nIt's clear that the school store has become a hotspot for all students looking to express themselves and show off the items they have earned. With more options for students to choose from, there is something for everyone to enjoy during this much-needed break in the day. We are actively encouraging sharing amongst our peers, fostering a sense of community and collaboration on the playground and sometimes even indoor recess. I can't wait to see the positive impact this will have on student engagement, social skills, and overall enjoyment of our time outside.
