Being able to give all of my students a copy of Ender's Game to take home this past month has been a blessing. My students were able to read at their own speed and didn't feel rushed; many of them are struggling learners, so this was a \"game changer\" for them. \r\n\r\nI sometimes feel that society thinks we have to make grand gestures or sweeping changes to \"fix\" the education system in America. In my opinion, all it really takes is making small, wise decisions that impact one student at a time. Making sure that all students can eat breakfast so they aren't distracted by hunger. Making sure every student gets to learn in a safe, clean environment. Making sure every student has the materials they need to effectively learn. Nothing big - something as simple as a novel they don't have to share with six other students. Small contributions like that, from kind people like you, are what will help our kids more than anything the government can conceive. Thank you again, for making a wise choice that had an immediate impact.","fullyFundedDate":1743370065937,"projectUrl":"project/enders-game-for-everyone/9215108/","projectTitle":"Ender's Game for Everyone!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Miller","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4776968_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1504893458821","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4776968"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12072","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":423,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":56,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":40,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":72.7,"schoolId":12072,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ingram Tom Moore High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ingram Tom Moore High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/ingram-independent-school-district/ingram-tom-moore-high-school/12072"}
