It was a moment filled with joy, surprise, and pride. They felt seen, valued, and excited to get started.\r\n\r\nWe've already put many of the materials to use in special projects, labeling and decorating. Students used crayons, markers, and Post-its to design their own journal covers, telling stories about their families, favorite things, and dreams for the future. Each journal is used everyday and it expresses each of the students' individuality. \r\n\r\nThe bins have helped us stay so much more organized, and the students love being able to find and return their supplies independently. It's a small thing that's made a big difference in classroom flow and student confidence.\r\n\r\nNext up, we're diving into a science exploration unit where students will use these same tools to create illustrated life cycle diagrams, build observation journals, and present group findings in their own way. Thanks to your generosity, they'll be able to work creatively, stay engaged, and focus on learning—not on what they're missing.\r\nFrom all of us: thank you for your kindness and belief in our students. Your donation did more than just provide supplies—it helped create a space where every child feels empowered to learn, grow, and shine.","fullyFundedDate":1746786117514,"projectUrl":"project/the-kinder-kit-project/9291356/","projectTitle":"The Kinder Kit Project!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Solis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10007689_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746868862459","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10007689"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_128776","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":233,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":97,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":null,"schoolId":128776,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Idea Academy - La Joya on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Idea Academy - La Joya","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/idea-academy-la-joya/128776"}
