Because of your support, my students have been experiencing science in a hands-on way. In my Microbiology unit, the petri dishes you provided allowed my students to safely grow and observe bacterial cultures. My students enjoyed exploring microscopic organisms. \r\n\r\n My students also loved the dehydrated pond organisms. After hydrating them, they saw many tiny single-celled organisms moving under the microscope. Observing microscopic organisms is an ongoing activity that students enjoy doing in their spare time. \r\n\r\nThe lab coat and organizational supplies have helped us create a clean, safe, and professional learning environment. These additions are helping me be more efficient and improving student engagement and responsibility in the lab. My students learned how to create plant profiles describing the needs of plants and maintenance of plants. They learned various ways of propagating plants and planting seeds. They documented pH of soil, moisture levels, light conditions and growth rate. \r\n\r\nThe students planted vegetables and herbs in pots that they could take home with them for the summer as well as in the greenhouse at school.
