This grant helped make a very bright, open, and welcoming room for students to come into and enjoy. Being able to switch students from individual desks to tables has helped them learn how to build stronger social and collaboration skills with their classmates every day.\r\nWhen my class herd we were in the running for possibly receiving this grant, they crossed their fingers and toes so hard and when I was able to tell them the following day I got the call, they were ecstatic!!! These kids have never won anything in their life this grand and especially when I told them they were the reason I signed up for it to provide them with new material. They were so happy to hear this was for THEM and not a \"just because\" thing. That THEY were going to be the first ones ever to sit in the new seats (stools and cushions) and tables.
