We are using our new mud kitchens every day during outdoor play! We placed one kitchen in each of our play areas so that all of our students have plenty of opportunities to explore and create. The children love pretending to cook meals, make \"soups,\" bake treats, and serve food to their friends. It has been so much fun watching them use the different materials in creative ways while practicing sharing, communicating, and working together.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the mud kitchens, they were SO excited! They immediately wanted to explore every part of them and start pretending to cook. They quickly began creating their own games and recipes, and the kitchens have already become one of the most popular choices during outdoor play.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building on their excitement by incorporating the mud kitchens into our classroom learning. As we explore different themes throughout the year, students will be able to use the kitchens for dramatic play, science exploration, counting and measuring, and practicing new vocabulary.
