We have been using the materials we received on a regular basis. Many of the materials will be used in our circuits unit this Spring. However, we have already been able to use much of it for projects such as our railroad gate project and film viewer project. \r\nFor the film viewer project, students made viewing screen, then cast an image onto their screen. This really helps them to understand the refraction in a fun and interesting way. The kids have been loving the materials and have put them to use so many times already. The chenille stems and foam has been a great addition to our supply selection. They add a certain color and flair to projects as well as a bit more durability.\r\nOne specific project that the materials came in handy was for our railroad gate project. Students were making realistic railroad gates and using the foam sheets for greenery and street decoration. So far it has had a huge impact and really added creativity, decoration and storytelling as a mainstay of our classes.\r\nWe just finished one of our main projects in 6th grade. Students design and build amusement park rides using programmable motors. This was probably the best results so far. The rides were amazing. Not only did they function, but the new stock of colors really inspired some creative design.\r\nThank you so much for your support of this project. Reluctant learners particularly benefit from review via Kahoot. The electronics components have been a much needed resupply to cover the breakage and loss that comes with student use.
