These bins were pre-created with materials and STEM ideas so that I can just grab and go! They are a life saver for me and they have been thoroughly enjoyed by my students. \r\nThis year we adopted a new science curriculum and the roll out has been a little clunky. So on days when I don't have enough time to prep the new curriculum, or we don't have time for a full science lesson, these bins give my students hands-on experience exploring and creating something that intrigues them. They best part is they don't even realizing that they are learning the state standards through their play! Last week we used them to compare and contrast their building with a real life building, and this week they get to be engineers, and practice teamwork, as they create a structure. \r\nThese bins are not something I could have afforded on my own, so your generousity has made all the difference for me and my students. Thank you, and I hope you are blessed for blessing others.","fullyFundedDate":1762787027272,"projectUrl":"project/stem-bins-for-the-win/9631427/","projectTitle":"STEM Bins for the Win!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Burrell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8578427_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659968637301","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8578427"},{"teacherId":8578427,"projectId":9336489,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donation to my classroom. Seeing the brand-new goals, pinnies, and soccer balls sparked so much excitement and pride. We used the equipment right away to set up small-sided drills and team scrimmages. The pinnies have made it easier to organize fair and balanced teams, and the soccer balls allow us to practice essential skills like passing, dribbling, and shooting with much more consistency.\r\n\r\nThe impact goes beyond the field. Many students who had never played soccer before now participate regularly and are developing a real love for the game. They've also been practicing good sportsmanship and leadership, which ties into the GRASSP values we promote—Growth, Respect, Accountability, Sportsmanship, Safety, and Positivity. Our next steps include preparing for an end-of-season trophy tournament where students from local schools will compete in front of their families and school community.
