The cushions have quickly become a favorite among students who love having more flexible seating options, and they're really comfortable too.\r\n\r\nStudents have been using the kickbands to help with self-regulation or just to fidget when they need to. The flexible seating with the cushions has really helped students stay focused, since they can choose to sit closer or on a different spot if they want. This flexibility has made a notable positive difference, especially when we've been tackling concepts like equivalent fractions or non-fiction.\r\n\r\nWe can't thank you enough for your donations. The students are much more productive when they do not have to hold the Ipad. In Prekinder we are introducing/ implementing educational applications that cover student's literacy and math skills. With the cases the students are able to extend their attention spans and grasp the content that is being delivered. \r\nMy students were very excited to have the bright red cases and that they all matched. They are able to move around the room while still using their technology instead of having to be stationed at the tables. All of my students were able to triple their time on the Ipads which is fantastic for their development.","fullyFundedDate":1762266342731,"projectUrl":"project/bobcats-technology/9715885/","projectTitle":"Bobcats' Technology","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ayala","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8818155_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666887139189","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8818155"},{"teacherId":8042970,"projectId":9158441,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom literacy project! The new resources have made a wonderful difference in the way my students engage with reading and writing. We have been using the materials during independent reading, small-group instruction, and literacy activities. Having additional books and literacy resources available has given my students more opportunities to practice important reading skills while also discovering books that interest them. One of my favorite moments was watching students excitedly look through the new materials and immediately begin talking with one another about which books they wanted to read first.\r\nWhen my students first saw the new resources, they were excited and eager to use them. It was especially meaningful to see students who are sometimes hesitant about reading become interested in choosing a book and participating in our literacy activities. These materials have helped make reading feel more inviting and enjoyable while giving students additional opportunities to build their confidence and independence as readers.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these resources to strengthen reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and written responses. Students will practice discussing what they read, identifying important details, making connections, and supporting their ideas with evidence from the text. Your generosity has provided resources that we will continue using throughout the school year. Thank you for investing in my students and helping us create a classroom where literacy, confidence, and a love of reading can continue to grow!","fullyFundedDate":1746786332680,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-fun/9158441/","projectTitle":"Literacy Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wynder","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8042970"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_133480","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":836,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":29,"percentWhite":13,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":8,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.6,"schoolId":133480,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Honor Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Honor Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/east-central-independent-school-district/honor-elementary-school/133480"}
