Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in our classroom. The sweet treats have become a wonderful source of motivation for my students. They work hard, stay focused, and take pride in completing their assignments because they know their effort will be recognized. Seeing their excitement and smiles when they earn a small reward has helped create a more positive and engaging learning environment.\r\n\r\nThese materials have also supported academic learning by encouraging students to stay on task, participate in class activities, and complete their work with greater effort. The treats serve as positive reinforcement that motivates students to push themselves and remain engaged during lessons and assessments.\r\n\r\nI would also like to extend a special thank you to **Panda Cares** for supporting our students. It means so much to know that a company cares about the success and well-being of children in our classroom. Your support reminds my students that there are people and organizations who believe in them and want them to succeed. Because of your generosity, my students feel encouraged, valued, and inspired to continue doing their best every day. Thank you for investing in their learning and their future.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these incentives during review sessions, collaborative group work, and upcoming assessments ( Algebra 1 EOC) to maintain engagement and reinforce positive learning habits.","fullyFundedDate":1769177779711,"projectUrl":"project/sweets-drives-them-to-success/9985541/","projectTitle":"Sweets Drives Them to Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Amosig","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10082979"},{"teacherId":7765544,"projectId":9436252,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students are now using Hummingbirds by BirdBrain to design and create interactive coding projects in our classroom. One standout project involved students drawing food chains and food webs and then coding the Hummingbird equipment to move and light up to represent energy flow and relationships between organisms. This hands-on experience allowed students to connect abstract marine science concepts to real, visible outcomes through code.\r\nWhen students first saw the Hummingbirds, their excitement was immediate. For the vast majority of the class, this was their first experience with coding, and they were both curious and a little nervous at first. Very quickly, that nervousness turned into confidence as they saw their ideas come to life. Students who had never considered themselves \"coders\" proudly shared their projects and helped classmates troubleshoot challenges.\r\nBecause of this project, students are now building both marine science and computer science skills simultaneously. The next steps include refining their programs, adding more complex cause-and-effect relationships, and explaining their models using proper scientific vocabulary. Thanks to your support, students were able to unleash their creativity, think critically, and engage in meaningful, interdisciplinary learning that will stay with them well beyond this unit. Thank you for making this experience possible for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1757969979070,"projectUrl":"project/highlighting-the-science-of-computer-sci/9436252/","projectTitle":"Highlighting the Science of Computer Science!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McCall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7765544_orig.jpg?crop=1723,1723,x574,y624&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757978899459","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7765544"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_45291","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1711,"numTeachers":97,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":24,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":53,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.9,"schoolId":45291,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hollywood Hills High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hollywood Hills High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/broward-county-public-schools/hollywood-hills-high-school/45291"}
