They took guesses to see if they could figure out what was inside! I can pull something as simple as folders out and they oooo and ahhhh. I was fortunate enough to loop up to 1st grade with my Kindergarteners, so everything we received last year moved with us to 1st grade.\r\n\r\nMy class loves \"playing\" station games (they tend to forget they're actually learning), so I had a blast creating new station games over the summer to meet the needs of 1st grade. I used the cardstock and laminating film to create games and task cards, and then used the pouches to keep everything for that station nice and tidy. The folders and page/sleeve protectors were used to create Math folders to use during whole group lesson time. They can use dry erase markers to write on the math work mat and then erase it off and use again another day. \r\n\r\nThe smaller items such as magnets, binder clips and staple remover have helped me post special charts on our white board, clips sets of books together for organization, and saved my fingernails when the staple and wall didn't want to cooperate. Your donation has truly transformed the way my students learn, move, and interact with one another every single day.\r\n\r\nWhen the flexible seating options first arrived, the students were beyond excited - it felt like Christmas morning! One student walked in and said, \"Wait...we get to choose where we sit now?!\" There was so much joy and curiosity as they explored the different seating styles - from wobble stools and inflatable donuts to yoga balls and cushions.\r\n\r\nThese new options have made a huge differenct. Students are more focused, more engaged, and better able to manage their own learning space. It's been amazing to watch how they've takedn ownership of their environment - some like to work cross-\r\nlegged on the floor with clipboards, others do their best thinking rocking gently on a wobble stool. It's no longer about where they sit, but how they learn best.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stood out was during a group reading session. A few students gathered around our new yoga balls and began discussing the book more deeply than I'd seen before. They were relaxed, comfortable, and truly immersed in the story - and it was clear that the new environment played a part in that shift.\r\n\r\nAs we move into our next big writing unit, the flexible seating will continue to support independent and group work, giving students the freedom to find their most productive spaces. They're more motivated, more collaborative, and happier in class - and that's \r\nsomething truly priceless.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students a classroom that meets their needs and honors their individuality. Thanks to your support, we received the glue sticks, dry erase markers, and plastic pouches that have made such a positive difference in our learning environment.\r\n\r\nOne of my new favorite things to do is create worksheets, task cards, and games for my class that will keep them engaged while still learning important skills. The items in this project lend greatly to my creations! \r\n\r\nMost of my friends don't find writing very exciting, but hand them a dry erase marker and it's a whole new world opened to them! With dry erase boards, we were limited as to what we could do since I couldn't give them anything to trace or work inside of, but the dry erase pouches have been a game changer. All I have to do is make a group set of copies (4-5 pages), slide them into the pouches, and hand them a dry erase marker. The activity can be practiced over and over, which saves a lot of paper and keeps them engaged.\r\n\r\nWe also cut and glue often in our classroom, so the glue sticks have been an absolute necessity. While I will soon teach my students how to use a bottle of glue, the sticks have helped keep our workstations clean and saved their papers from lakes of glue! \r\n\r\nThanks to your donation, my students have the tools they need to explore, learn, and succeed.
