This program is extremely important to my students because their vocabulary is important to their reading and comprehension. The increase in vocabulary knowledge as well as content knowledge was amazing. \r\n This program brings the vocabulary to life in a student relevant way. It provides slides, photos, and songs to increase engagement which is huge benefit. With your generous donations we were able to purchase much needed supplies to continue our 3D printing projects into this school year. We have been able to keep our students learning code to create 3D objects in Tinker Cad. After their creations are made we then use our software program and print the objects on our Bambu Lab 3D printer. The students love seeing the printer in action, rendering their designs. Additionally, our youngest students love to see the printer in the printing process. They are always asking about what is going on with the machine. \r\n Our students have also enjoyed designing medallions for our school's various clubs. Robotics and our Battle of the Books team had custom designed medallions. The students created designs and then we were able to allow the entire student body to vote on their favorite design for the award. We also have created 3D printed words (the head line) for a new 5th grade mural we created on the outside of our building. Our goal is to continue implementing and building on our students creativity and their technological abilities. The filament is expensive and with recent budget cuts, we would not have been able to have adequate supplies to continue creating. \r\n Eventually, our students will be designing items for our student government, PTO, partnering schools etc. We are excited to begin selling the student created items during book fairs, and other family events at our school as well as to our parent and community members. Our students love creating! Without your generosity- this program would not have been able to see continued success and growth.","fullyFundedDate":1748637143735,"projectUrl":"project/crafting-tomorrow-fueling-creativity-wi/9202246/","projectTitle":"Crafting Tomorrow: Fueling Creativity With 3D Printing","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Baughman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp402342_orig.jpg?crop=2320,2320,x0,y278&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697074303872","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/402342"},{"teacherId":115619,"projectId":8467406,"letterContent":"Our students come from low socio-economic backgrounds and most live in low-income housing. This great big thank you comes to you a bit late. My students and I have been very appreciative of the varied items your donation helped our class obtain. We have been using the items for many different activities. The games and craft items have been very useful in helping the students learn to work together and help each other. Learning how to play games and follow rules when playing is a big social skill that can often be overlooked. \r\n When the students saw all the items they could use with each other such as the games and craft items they were very excited and could not wait to use them. Every day they ask to make bracelets or play the games! \r\n The pizza rack and other organization items have made the flow of the classroom so much better and allowed me to focus on teaching rather than keeping the students and myself organized! The pizza rack gives the students a place to put their planners so that I can keep in contact with the parents daily.
