Families were excited and appreciative to receive fun and interactive games they could use at home to practice math skills. \r\n\r\nThe Student Council members took this leadership opportunity very seriously. After determining which game they were going to teach, they learned it, practiced it, and practiced teaching it to others so they would be prepared for Math Night. They learned and practiced how to approach families and offer them the materials. \r\n\r\nThis project was impactful in two ways. Because of your kindness, our students were able to experience a meaningful and joyful celebration of positive behavior, inclusion, and learning.\r\n\r\nThis project brought much more than a refreshing treat to our school—it created powerful opportunities for students to feel seen, valued, and motivated. By earning Kona Ice through positive behavior and acts of acceptance, students became more intentional about how they treated one another. We saw an increase in kindness, cooperation, and respect across classrooms, hallways, and shared spaces.\r\n\r\nOur focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) truly came to life. Students demonstrated their understanding of expected behaviors not just because they were taught, but because they were recognized and celebrated. The excitement of earning a Kona Ice reward helped reinforce these behaviors in a positive and memorable way.\r\n\r\nOne of the most impactful aspects of this project was how it supported our work around diversity and inclusion. Students were encouraged to notice and celebrate differences, showing acceptance regardless of race, gender, language, or background. This created a more welcoming and supportive school environment where all students felt they belonged.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, this experience provided a real-world connection to financial literacy. Students had the opportunity to make choices, manage simple transactions, and think about spending in a meaningful context. These small but important lessons help build lifelong skills in decision-making and responsibility.\r\n\r\nField day was another highlight, where the Kona Ice truck added an extra layer of excitement and community celebration. It brought students together in a shared experience that rewarded their hard work, growth, and positive contributions throughout the year.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your donation helped create lasting memories. For many students, this was a unique and special experience that they will not forget. It showed them that their efforts matter and that positive choices lead to meaningful rewards.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students—not just academically, but socially and emotionally. Giving them the opportunity to keep their supplies close at hand has made a huge difference, especially during transitions—students are more focused, independent, and ready to learn without losing instructional time.\r\nThe materials have been used daily across lessons, and the games have been an absolute hit during every Fun Friday. Students especially love Break the Ice, which has become a favorite for building math skills, teamwork, and confidence all at once.
