One moment that really stood out was during a 2nd grade reading intervention group. A student who normally feels hesitant about reading became completely absorbed in a phonics game. They were laughing, helping each other sound out words, and celebrating each small win. In math, students used the hands-on games to practice skills like number sense and fact fluency. I love how they are working together to encourage each other.\r\n\r\nWe're continuing our work on building foundational reading and math skills, and these games will now be part of their weekly review. In reading, students will use the games to reinforce phonics and decoding in a more engaging way.
