My students were definitely excited to have new games to play to review skills they have been working on.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the new math and reading games during our small-group intervention time. One moment that really stood out was during a 2nd grade reading intervention group. A student who normally feels hesitant about reading became completely absorbed in a phonics game. They were laughing, helping each other sound out words, and celebrating each small win. In math, students used the hands-on games to practice skills like number sense and fact fluency. I love how they are working together to encourage each other.\r\n\r\nWe're continuing our work on building foundational reading and math skills, and these games will now be part of their weekly review. In reading, students will use the games to reinforce phonics and decoding in a more engaging way. In math, they'll be engaged in games that help strengthen addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. \r\nThank you for investing in my students!","fullyFundedDate":1757515967197,"projectUrl":"project/small-group-skill-review-games/9425996/","projectTitle":"Small Group Skill Review Games!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kimbell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2339540_orig.png?crop=354,354,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750466495358","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2339540"},{"teacherId":2864662,"projectId":9619134,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our students now have picture books that bring the writing process to life! These stories have become an essential part of our dysgraphia lessons, helping students see what good writers do—how they brainstorm, draft, revise, and proudly publish their work.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, writing used to feel overwhelming. The picture books have turned those feelings into excitement and curiosity. Through colorful illustrations and relatable characters, students realize that writing doesn't have to be perfect on the first try—it's a process. They're learning how ideas grow and change, and that their voices matter on paper.\r\n\r\nEach story gives them concrete examples of how to organize thoughts and turn them into sentences. I've seen real growth in handwriting fluency and, even more importantly, in confidence. Students who once hesitated to write are now eager to share their stories and ideas. These books have made the writing journey fun, accessible, and full of pride.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the gift of inspiration—and for helping them discover that they, too, are authors.","fullyFundedDate":1756324070952,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-writing-picture-books-to-supp/9619134/","projectTitle":"Unlocking Writing: Picture Books to Support Dysgraphia","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sanchez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2864662_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753105956473","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2864662"},{"teacherId":2864662,"projectId":9622127,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom has taken a huge step forward in unlocking the power of reading and writing for students who learn differently. I'm using strategies from The Writing Revolution to guide students in building clear, structured sentences and organized paragraphs, while insights from Teaching Students with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia help me target decoding, spelling, and written expression with evidence-based tools.\r\n\r\nEvery day, I see students gaining confidence as they apply strategies that make reading and writing feel achievable—and even enjoyable! Color printing also allows me to produce custom goal trackers, progress bars, and achievement markers that make student portfolios more meaningful and motivating.\r\n\r\nIn addition, being able to integrate color into fluency, accuracy, and comprehension charts makes it easier for both students and I to track progress over time, celebrate growth, and set new goals together.
