We have made Colorado Snowflakes using wood and nails with the hammers and sanders we received from Donors Choose. We have also used sanding blocks to make Colorado inspired mountain tops out of wood. My students saw the hammers for the first time and one of them asked, \"are those real hammers?!?\" Needless to say, they were excited to use the new tools and ultimately surprised to get to use them.\r\n\r\nThe next steps will be to use the Chompsaws now that we have built up our confidence with the hand tools and sanders. We will explore techniques and different types of cardboard as we learn to cut with the saws and cardboard cutting hand tools!
