The supplies you provided have made a significant impact on the students' learning experience. The colorful markers, which come in a variety of bold hues, have not only enabled the students to complete their projects but have also sparked their creativity during group activities. Many students have taken to using these markers for crafting vibrant posters and engaging artworks, showcasing their imaginative ideas.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the bins you supplied have been invaluable in keeping our classroom organized. They've become essential for storing materials, making it easy for students to find what they need without the usual clutter. The poster boards are also proving to be a great asset, as we plan to use them for upcoming assignments and projects throughout the semester.\r\n\r\nIt was delightful to see the excitement on the students' faces when we unpacked the markers. Some of them couldn't resist the temptation and playfully tried to draw on themselves, leading to quite a few laughs! 😂 Overall, your support has not only facilitated their educational projects but has also made learning more enjoyable. The extension cords, power strips, and cable ties you provided have been a game-changer for organizing our space and safely powering our equipment. Before, students would struggle with cords tangled underfoot; now, they can move around comfortably in a well-lit environment with the help of our new safe lights. The film drying racks are in constant use, keeping negatives safe from damage. Best of all, the digital film scanner has allowed our students to see their images right away and create digital contact sheets, which helps them analyze their shots without waiting for the full chemical process. It's been incredible to watch their excitement grow as they experiment with lighting setups and see near-instant feedback on their work.\r\n\r\nYour support has made darkroom photography an inspiring, hands-on journey that blends art, science, and critical thinking. From testing different chemical developing times to perfecting exposures, our students are not just learning about photography—they're understanding math, physics, and chemistry in real-world scenarios. Many have become deeply engaged and are already brainstorming how to expand their skills to digital editing, design, and potentially even future careers in the creative fields. This program is off to a fantastic start, and I'm so grateful for your role in its success. Thank you for empowering our students to explore their creativity, embrace scientific inquiry, and grow in confidence through the art of photography.","fullyFundedDate":1733768726333,"projectUrl":"project/illuminating-creativity-tools-for-darkr/8909808/","projectTitle":"Illuminating Creativity: Tools for Darkroom Photography","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bailey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8020866_orig.jpg?crop=2066,2066,x0,y192&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746045243572","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8020866"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2790","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":998,"numTeachers":94,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":10,"percentBlack":38,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":33,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":68.9,"schoolId":2790,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about High Point Central High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"High Point Central High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/guilford-county-schools/high-point-central-high-school/2790"}
