My English Language Development (ELD) students in kindergarten through second grade are now learning more efficiently each day using the iPads. The new sturdy iPad cases have made a tremendous difference because students can now use their devices hands-free, confidently completing language activities without worrying about drops or damage. This has allowed them to focus more on their lessons and less on technology issues.\r\n\r\nThe fun classroom prizes have also brought so much excitement and motivation to our room! Light-up rings, slime, and small toys have become powerful incentives that encourage students to give their best effort and celebrate their progress. Your support has made a meaningful and lasting impact—not just for the students I teach today, but for those to come.\r\n\r\nThanks to your contributions, I was able to add rolling storage carts that have truly transformed the classroom environment. These carts provide much-needed additional storage and help students keep their school supplies, Chromebooks, and other materials organized and easily accessible. \r\n\r\nThe wobble chairs have quickly become a classroom favorite. Students love using them during small group lessons, and they've even become a positive behavior incentive—students work hard to earn a chance to sit on one! The chairs provide an outlet for students to release energy while staying seated during instruction.\r\n\r\nLastly, I want to express my appreciation for the much-needed mailbox system. It has been a wonderful addition, allowing both students and myself to easily file and receive papers. It's brought a new level of organization that has greatly impacted classroom organization and management.\r\n\r\nYour kindness and commitment to education have helped create a more functional and inspiring space for all of us. Because of your kindness, my Kindergarten and 1st-grade English Language Development (ELD) students, who are all early English language learners, now have access to engaging, high-interest books that are specifically matched to their independent reading levels.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the books and organizational bins, I've seen a powerful shift in my students. These young beginning readers, many of whom were previously hesitant to engage with texts, are now showing increased confidence and enthusiasm. They are more eager to pick up books on their own and are developing essential early literacy skills, like vocabulary, comprehension, and phonemic awareness, while building their confidence in English.\r\n\r\nThe carefully leveled texts have made a tremendous difference. When students recognize that the books are \"just right\" for them, they are more likely to take risks, persevere through challenges, and enjoy reading for pleasure. Our classroom library has become an inviting, organized space where students feel empowered to choose books that they can read independently and proudly.\r\n\r\nOne of my students recently said, \"I can read this whole book myself!\" That joy and sense of accomplishment are made possible because of your support.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our ELD learners. The variety of toys, stickers, fidgets, and other fun rewards has made a huge difference in motivating my students to fully engage with our online learning platforms, Joy School English and Reading A-Z.\r\n\r\nStudents are now consistently working harder and showing greater focus during independent and guided online learning sessions. I have noticed a significant increase in the number of minutes students are logging daily on both platforms. Not only are they more eager to participate, but they are also setting personal goals and striving to meet them, knowing that a special reward might be waiting.\r\n\r\nThe best part is seeing their faces light up when they earn a sticker, choose a small toy, or get a fidget they've been eyeing. The rewards are doing more than just motivating—they are building confidence, responsibility, and a love for learning. Each one was thrilled to get a journal and have his/her own special space to write stories and reflections. The pencil sharpener became an unexpected star of the classroom, with students taking pride in keeping their pencils sharp and ready to work. The treasure box filled with toys and treats created a buzz of motivation as students eagerly worked towards earning rewards for their hard work and progress. One student even exclaimed, \"This makes writing so much fun!\"—a testament to these materials' impact on their engagement and enthusiasm.\r\nIn our classroom, these resources have already been put to great use. One of our recent projects involved writing a narrative story. Students used their writing journals to brainstorm and draft stories about writing an ending to a focused story read in class. My second-grade students worked hard to make their narratives as descriptive and fun as possible. After they finished their stories, we had a culminating activity wherein each student shared and read their stories while others listened and enjoyed the treats provided by our generous donors. They also happily picked a reward from the treasure box.\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to build on this momentum by diving into opinion writing, where students will practice expressing their thoughts and ideas persuasively. The resources from this project will continue to support their growth as writers. The journals will be used for organizing their opinions, and markers to practice spelling words, and writing sentences. The laminating pouches will allow us to create reusable writing aids, such as graphic organizers and sentence starters. Thanks to your generosity, my students are not only developing essential writing skills but are also discovering the joy of expressing themselves creatively. Your contribution has truly transformed our writing lessons and inspired a love for learning.
