Materials for each subject are clearly labeled and easy to access, which has reduced transition time and helped students stay focused on learning. One especially meaningful moment was during a small-group lesson when a student independently gathered all the materials they needed using the new bins—something that used to require multiple prompts. That small success was a big step toward their IEP goal of increasing independence and task initiation.\r\nThe games have become a favorite part of our center rotations. During math and literacy centers, students use the games to practice skills such as counting, number recognition, letter-sound correspondence, turn-taking, and following multi-step directions. Each game is intentionally matched to specific IEP goals and objectives, allowing students to practice essential skills in a fun, low-pressure way.\r\nStudent reactions\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were beyond excited. They were eager to explore the colorful games and immediately asked when they could start using them. Several students who are typically hesitant during academic tasks were more willing to participate because the learning felt like play. Smiles, laughter, and proud \"I did it!\" moments filled the room as students took turns and successfully completed tasks.\r\nNext steps for our classroom\r\nAs we continue our current lessons, students will keep using the organization tools to develop routines and independence across all subjects. The games will remain a key part of our center rotations as we work on communication skills, academic goals, and social interaction skills like cooperative play and patience. We are also beginning to increase expectations by adding goal-specific challenges to the games, such as verbalizing strategies or recording results, to further support progress on IEP objectives.\r\nYour donation has given you a special peek into our classroom—and more importantly, it has given my students tools that empower them to learn, grow, and succeed.
