My students had opportunities to explore, create, experiment, and learn in ways that went beyond traditional lessons. The hands-on activities encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving while making learning exciting and memorable.\r\n\r\nOne of the greatest benefits was seeing students who sometimes struggle with traditional learning become more engaged and confident when given the opportunity to learn by doing. Our classroom includes students with different learning abilities and needs, including students with IEPs and English Language Learners. Having hands-on materials, visual supports, and opportunities for collaboration helped make lessons more accessible and gave every student a chance to participate and experience success.\r\n\r\nThe STEM kits encouraged students to ask questions, think outside the box, test their ideas, and learn from their mistakes. The classroom supplies also helped provide the tools needed to keep students organized, prepared, and actively involved in daily learning.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these resources reminded my students that learning can be fun, that their ideas matter, and that they are capable of accomplishing great things. I loved watching their excitement as they discovered new concepts and worked together to solve challenges.\r\n\r\nI am so grateful to the donors who made these experiences possible. Your generosity did more than provide classroom materials; it created opportunities, built confidence, and helped make our classroom a place where curiosity and learning could thrive. Thank you for investing in my students and making a lasting impact on their educational journey!","fullyFundedDate":1767139336781,"projectUrl":"project/lets-electrify-science/9723768/","projectTitle":"Let's Electrify Science","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hanrahan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10267669"},{"teacherId":10183872,"projectId":9616798,"letterContent":"The paper organizers, timers, magnetic graph chart, and water bottle holders have greatly improved the organization and flow of my classroom. Paper organizers keep materials sorted and accessible, reducing clutter and lost instructional time. Timers help students manage transitions and stay focused, increasing independence and on-task behavior. The magnetic graph chart supports visual learning and makes lessons more engaging and interactive. Water bottle holders minimize distractions and spills, helping students stay hydrated while keeping the classroom safe and orderly. \r\n\r\nMy students were excited to use the materials, and I believe they have helped students take greater pride in their learning space. I have no doubt that these tools will continue to support student independence and effective learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1757423413935,"projectUrl":"project/from-chaos-to-calm-support-classroom-or/9616798/","projectTitle":"From Chaos to Calm: Support Classroom Organization","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bolden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10183872_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755473152984","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10183872"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_102042","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":767,"numTeachers":43,"percentFrplEligible":65,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":39,"percentWhite":45,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"17.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.7,"schoolId":102042,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mayfield Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mayfield Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/st-tammany-parish-school-district/henry-mayfield-elementary-4-5/102042"}
