They realized that this was not going to be an ordinary classroom. They began exploring the different spaces, asking questions, and imagining how they would use them. Most importantly, they saw a learning environment that had been intentionally created for them.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments has been watching students use our café-style learning centers to work independently and with their peers. Instead of learning only from their desks, students can move into spaces designed for reading, listening, discussion, writing, and presentations. For students who may have experienced academic setbacks, these resources give them another opportunity to discover how they learn best and experience success.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue developing the Learning Café into a student-centered literacy experience. Students will participate in small-group ELA activities, reading and writing projects, listening activities, peer collaboration, and presentations. We want them to strengthen their academic skills while also building confidence, communication, responsibility, and ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nThis year, our message is \"The Comeback Tour: Find Our Beat, Remix Our Future.\" Your support is helping our students understand that falling behind does not mean their story is over.
