My students love having a space that is theirs to learn. The circles keep them accountable for staying in their own space as well. \r\nThe other wonderful thing we received, was added seating in our library. There are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th groups. For the past three years I have tried different management strategies to help each group keep up with their items and be able to retrieve their supplies in a timely manner.\r\nI'm excited because these binders may just do the trick!\r\n The binders impacted my students' learning in a great way. I set up each binder with dividers. On the tabs of the dividers I marked them with the different skills I will teach: phonics, spelling, syllable types, morphology, and fluency.\r\nEach class enjoys retrieving their own binders to prepare for the lesson!\r\n My students place the paper showing the skill of the day in the appropriate section before we start the lesson of the day. Having their own papers gives them the ability to:\r\n *Touch each word as we read along.\r\n *Highlight important information to remember.\r\n *Write words or sentences for practice of a skill.\r\n *Revisit skills that need more practice because the students have them in their binders!\r\nThese are only a few of the methods I use to teach reading.\r\nI am so thankful that you made my project a priority!","fullyFundedDate":1749476124653,"projectUrl":"project/we-are-bound-to-succeed-if-we-bind-our-s/9272857/","projectTitle":"We Are Bound to Succeed if We Bind Our Skills!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bennett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8830255_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1696269363241","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8830255"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_86710","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":350,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":48,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":45,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"12.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":75.3,"schoolId":86710,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hennessey Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hennessey Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/hennessey-school-district-16/hennessey-elementary-school/86710"}
