We spent the last school year using a projector that was tiny and had a faded image. The students couldn't see well and it was unreliable. Being gifted a high-powered projector has made it so much more accessible for them to see the day's slides, which include the directions, content, short videos, and assignments, that really dictate the entire class period. The students I had last year cheered when I set the new projector up and now they never complain that they can't see! \r\n\r\nI also requested a bunch of new games for our game cabinet. Board games are super important in our ESL classes because we use them to practice English, build relationships, and unwind a little after our high demand lessons. We had only a few last year and they were on heavy rotation. The students were so excited to see some new options (Guess Who?, Mancala, Trouble, Spoons, Connect 4, Sorry) and were happy to have a fresh deck of Uno because that is their favorite. \r\n\r\nI've been teaching for 15 years but this is my first project I've posted on Donors Choose. I am truly blown away with the generosity and I am grateful that this program exists.","fullyFundedDate":1755732948664,"projectUrl":"project/stop-look-and-listen-we-need-a-projec/9406447/","projectTitle":"Stop, Look, and Listen: We Need a Projector!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Buckley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6881862_orig.jpg?crop=1134,1134,x0,y94&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749569104789","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6881862"},{"teacherId":9728906,"projectId":8737717,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support with my Donors Choose project! It was so wonderful to start the year with folders and boxes for my students to help them keep their resources organized. I teach across five different classes, and so the storage boxes have meant that my students' belongings stay organized, even when other classes are using that space.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited by the bright colors of the folders when I handed them out. I didn't realize that these folders (display folders) are not often used in America, and so the students were initially a little confused by them, but soon figured it out!\r\n\r\nAt the moment, my seniors are working on reading Hamlet, while my juniors are reading poetry.
