We have had the Super Space blocks in our room for several weeks now. \r\n\r\nWe use the blocks as a daily learning station. Some days the children do free build while other days they come up with a plan with the adult supervisor and build accordingly. I can honestly say I can't tell which option is more popular with the children. The dramatic play materials—especially the baby dolls—have quickly become a favorite part of our daily routine. Having baby dolls and accessories in the classroom gives children opportunities to practice nurturing behaviors, understand emotions, and explore real-life routines in a safe and playful way. One morning, I watched a small group of students carefully wrap the dolls in blankets and gently put them in bed. They whispered kind words like \"It's okay, it's time to go sleep\" showing how deeply they were connecting with the materials and with each other.\r\n\r\nThe moment the children first saw the new items, their faces lit up with wide eyes, open mouths, and the biggest smiles—you could feel the excitement ripple through the room. Their reactions reminded me how powerful these resources are in shaping their learning experiences. The dramatic play center has since become a hub of creativity; the children pretend to be caregivers, chefs, and family members, taking on roles that help them make sense of the world around them.\r\n\r\nAs we continue building on our current classroom lessons, the next steps involve teaching children how to care for their environment by organizing materials and returning items to labeled baskets. This real-life skill helps them develop responsibility, independence, and respect for shared spaces. It has been wonderful to watch them work together to sort items, discuss where things belong, and take pride in keeping their classroom welcoming and tidy. Thanks to your generosity, our students now have a beautifully enriched learning space that inspires imagination, cooperation, and growth every day. Your support has done more than fund materials—you've helped create joyful moments, confident learners, and a classroom filled with meaningful play.","fullyFundedDate":1746787114947,"projectUrl":"project/dramatic-play-center/9314881/","projectTitle":"Dramatic-Play Center","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Niehaus","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2838573_orig.jpg?crop=269,269,x0,y52&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746234063875","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2838573"},{"teacherId":10013287,"projectId":9318120,"letterContent":"The children were amazed by the new items your generosity allowed. We do five stations daily with emphasis on Language, Math, Art, Stem, and find motor skill development. It's easier to introduce new items in a station format so the children don't fight over them. Usually they lose interest after 2-3 days of using an item---with many having a 1 day life of interest. \r\n\r\nThese items stayed in our station for five solid days and I only moved them to free play area because I had other activities I needed the space for.
