Sniffles, sneezes, and the occasional cough are common during cold and flu season but because of you, we're better prepared to keep germs from spreading and help our students stay focused on learning.\r\n\r\nWe're using the disinfecting wipes and tissues every day, especially when students share tables and supplies. After hands touch high-use areas, we clean so the next group of students can start in a clean, germ free room. We also keep tissues nearby for runny noses, helping students feel supported and comfortable while still keeping our classroom routines strong.\r\n\r\nOne specific moment that stood out is the first time we set up the new supplies, we practiced our \"clean-up and reset\" routine together. It became part of our workflow of wipe, refresh, and then next group comes in to create in a clean space.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were excited especially because it meant we could keep our art space fresh and ready for everyone. Many students noticed right away that it would help us stay healthier while we work and share. Their reactions were positive and encouraging, and it helped reinforce the idea that we all have a role in caring for our classroom community.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're in the middle of ongoing art projects and weekly collaborative table activities. The next steps are simple, we'll keep using these resources throughout our current lessons and as fall comes, continuing our shared-supplies routines, staying prepared for seasonal illnesses, and ensuring students can stay healthy enough to fully participate.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping our classroom wipe out germs and keep learning strong this season! π§Όπ€§π","fullyFundedDate":1778075023097,"projectUrl":"project/tissues-and-disinfectant-wipes/9991993/","projectTitle":"Tissues and Disinfectant Wipes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mellman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10398962_orig.png?crop=1194,1194,x0,y39&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1780578856375","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10398962"},{"teacherId":10398962,"projectId":10303754,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my DonorsChoose project, \"Art Room Choices Inspire Creative Minds!\" Your generosity is helping make our art room a place where every student can feel successful, independent, and excited to create. My students were thrilled to see the new books, mini magnetic drawing boards, coloring materials, and adaptive art supplies arrive. They immediately wanted to explore everything! These resources give students meaningful choices during those important moments when they finish an artwork early, need a calming creative activity, or need a little extra support to participate successfully.\r\n\r\nWe are already putting the new materials to use during our art lessons. Students can choose from the different creative activities while classmates finish their projects, which helps keep everyone engaged and productive. The adaptive supplies are especially exciting because they allow younger students and children developing their fine motor skills to work more independently and with less frustration. Seeing a student proudly complete something on their own because a tool was easier for them to control is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching art.\r\n\r\nYour donation is doing much more than providing supplies, it is giving my students choices, confidence, independence, and opportunities to be creative.
