We also use the index cards to create word cards and skill-review activities, while the file folders help keep our small-group and center materials organized. The answer paddles have been a fun way for every student to respond to questions at the same time, allowing me to quickly check for understanding.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were excited and ready to use them right away! They especially enjoy writing their answers on the boards and holding up their answer paddles. These resources have made practice feel more interactive and have encouraged even my quieter students to participate because everyone gets an opportunity to show what they know.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these resources as students move through their individual phonics and reading skills during small-group intervention. Students will use the materials to practice blending and segmenting sounds, word mapping, spelling patterns, heart words, sentence writing, and reading comprehension. The pencils and copy paper are essential for their daily assignments, while the zipper pouches help students keep their learning materials organized and ready to use.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw all of the new supplies, they were excited and eager to use them. They especially enjoyed having materials that they could keep organized in their pouches and use during hands-on activities. It was wonderful seeing them excited about something as simple as having the tools they need to complete their work successfully.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these resources as students work on phonics, reading comprehension, writing, and math skills. We will use them for word work, interactive phonics activities, reading responses, small-group practice, and other projects throughout the school year.
