I truly cannot tell you how much your generosity means to us. When all of our new books and classroom supplies arrived, my students were so excited to see what was inside. There is nothing quite like watching a child get excited about a new book, and the Percy Jackson series has already been a favorite! Having a complete set of books gives my students the opportunity to read, discuss, and share their thinking with one another. The new National Geographic Readers have also given them more choices to explore topics they are curious about, from archaeology and animals to the Titanic and robots.\r\n\r\nThe classroom supplies have been just as helpful. We are using the chart paper, easel pads, and sticky notes to brainstorm, collaborate, record our ideas, and make our thinking visible during ELA. Right now, we are learning about hurricanes, and these materials are helping my students work together and dig deeper into the texts we are reading. Even the fun scented bookmarks have brought some extra smiles to our reading time!\r\n\r\nAs their teacher, I am so grateful to have these resources available to my students. Your generosity is doing more than putting supplies on a shelf—it is giving my students more opportunities to discover books they love, share their ideas, and grow as readers and writers.
