My students were thrilled when they came in and saw the bean bag chairs for them and even more excited when I shared the snacks with them. I want my classroom to be an inviting space for my students to feel safe and cared for. \r\n The bean bag chairs were put into a corner of my classroom so that my students can read a book after finishing their regular work or they can do regular work back there as a reward for good behavior. The snacks are being used throughout the day, it would surprise you how hungry middle students are!! My students are a blessing and your donations to my classroom help me to provide a safe and comfortable environment for them to learn!\r\nTeaching in an impoverished school district comes with challenges and with your donation I hope to provide a space that some students may not have outside of the classroom; somewhere warm and inviting. Somewhere they know they can have a snack, somewhere comfortable to work and someone caring to teach them. I feel blessed to come to work every day and with your help you help me with the means to give my kids what they need! Some of them actually let out a little squeal along with me!! It's always so nice to see new your students light up and they do when they know that they are going to get to do hands-on projects. On that specific day my Western Hemisphere students and I made Native American book markers with inspirational quotes on them to encourage us to read and embrace history.\r\nMy Eastern Hemisphere students and I are getting ready to build boats like the Polynesians did, they were known for their boat building skills so we will wear out the scissors and use most of the glue!! My current events kids and I are going to decorate the sidewalk with the chalk and welcome everyone back to school with color and kind words.\r\nYour kindness and generosity to my classroom means the world to my students and I. Because of this I can create with them and watch their imagination grow and they can watch geography come to life.
