My students were so excited when they heard they received new supplies for our classroom, and wondered what the first project we were going to use them for. \r\nThe biggest impact was the watercolor paints and Model Magic. My students love doing things with their hands and these materials were perfect for their creativity and hard-work. With the watercolor paints, I was able to teach students about different painting techniques while also getting better myself. We were able to do a lot more painting projects and students were excited to get more comfortable. Students were able to learn some responsibility as well with knowing that these materials were donated and brand-new.\r\nWith the Model Magic, I was able to do three separate art projects with my classes. In March, I did a Leprechaun Coin Project with my 5th graders where they were able to design their own St. Patrick's Day coin to lure a leprechaun home. We formed our coins and painted them after they dried. In April, 3rd grade completed a Personalized Pop-Tart project where students colored the Model Magic with markers and designed themselves as a Pop-Tart. Lastly, in 2nd Grade in May, we just finished making Robin Eggs and nests with cardboard, acrylic paint, and construction paper. It was some of the students' first time interacting with clay and they were excited to do more in the future. Once again, I thank all those who donated to this project and my students will continue to benefit from your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1770818435442,"projectUrl":"project/new-supplies-for-k-5-classroom/10082046/","projectTitle":"New Supplies for K-5 Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hafley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10428181_orig.jpg?crop=957,957,x715,y493&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770168518229","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10428181"},{"teacherId":2937624,"projectId":8340076,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the love and care you pour into the future with your support.
