Previously we had a few recquets that were bent and/or broken and we used tennis racquets. The birdies were in pitiful shape.\r\n\r\nThe students loved playing the game with the battered equipment so much that we wanted to provide good and real equipment for them to use.\r\n\r\nThis project has been a total success. Having teams marked with team colors makes everything easier.\r\n\r\nFor students, they can tell at a glance who is on their team. For us, we can keep the teams separated (when someone tries to sneak onto another team hahaha!).\r\n\r\nSeriously though, for both play and assessment, the jerseys make it immeasurably easier for everyone and when things are easier they go more smoothly.\r\n\r\nAnd did I mention they look better? No one has to wear caution or danger tape (although a couple said \"I want to be danger\" - these kids!).\r\n\r\nAnother fun thing the kids have done is to combine team colors. For example so far red and orange jerseys combined on a team they named \"Fire\". Another was black and blue for \"Bruises\". It brings out their creative and humorous sides.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping the kids look more coordinated and helping us make things run more smoothly!","fullyFundedDate":1742252400457,"projectUrl":"project/lets-get-these-teams-marked/9147126/","projectTitle":"Let's Get These Teams Marked!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McClure","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/cheryl-mcclure"},{"teacherId":9849287,"projectId":8982061,"letterContent":"The impact you've made by donating to our art class has already been a massive one! My students had an easier time achieving great lighting in their set designs, were able to build using hot glue without fear of running out and had a much more reliable support to keep our precious, donated class set of ipads on their tripods. Their experience making stop Motion animations was more enjoyable to them and I had more peace of mind supporting them as their teacher. I know my new group of students this term and years to come will also enjoy using the supplies you've funded and I can't wait to see what they make!
