Instead of managing behavioral distractions, I now get to walk around the room and simply listen to the children read. They are so incredibly proud of themselves because they finally have books at their independent reading level. By the end of the school year, a look into our classroom would reveal students eagerly diving into bins filled with books perfectly tailored to their individual abilities—actively tracking print, practicing fluency, and confidently discussing characters with their peers.\r\nAs educators, we know that loving to read begins with feeling successful at it. The \"just-right\" books you provided do exactly that by introducing critical foundational skills in a highly supportive format. Through these texts, struggling readers are mastering decoding skills, expanding their sight-word vocabulary, and learning how to use structural and contextual clues. Because the language is appropriately scaffolded, these lessons don't feel like a chore. Students are finally able to shift their mental energy away from struggling over every single syllable and toward genuine comprehension, learning how to track plotlines and connect deeply with the stories.\r\nWhile the impact has been widespread, these books have been a total game-changer for our most reluctant readers. One of my students, who used to routinely ask to go to the bathroom the moment it was time to read, now confidently finishes multiple books in a single session. The parents of my students are equally grateful; the feedback I have received from families has been overwhelming. Many parents were so amazed by their children's progress that they used the links I shared to purchase the next level of books for summer reading.
